Job Title : Resourcing and HR Manager*

Contract: Fixed term contract for six months

Salary: £36,000 – £38,000, depending on experience (for 35 hour week)

Working hours: 28 / 35 hours a week

Pension: Workplace Pension

Annual leave: 30 days (pro rata)

Work Location: Advance Head Office in Hammersmith, travel across London boroughs

Advance is a well-respected, award-winning and innovative women-only organisation, established in 1998, providing emotional and practical support to women experiencing domestic abuse and supporting women with custodial and community sentences to reduce offending. We have expanded our services significantly over the past 2 years to over 90 staff, reaching over 4000 women and their children.

We have an opportunity for a strong resourcing and HR professional to join our team and work with us to create the capability and culture that will enable us to continue to deliver high quality services as we grow.  You will develop our recruitment approach to enable us to pro-actively plan for and resource vacancies and put in place the supporting processes to ensure that we develop our longer term capability.   You will also work with the Head of HR and Governance and the HR officer to develop support for the overall employee lifecycle in a team delivering change while supporting effective day to day people management.

About you

You will have strong recruitment skills, with experience of reaching the appropriate candidates through pro-active and cost-effective routes.   You will also have experience of HR more broadly and the understanding to develop and project manage improvements in way that enhances management capability and working environment for employees.  You will enjoy being part of a small team and working resourcefully in a friendly, small to medium sized organisation.
