FEMALE* Women’s Centre Coordinator

Salary: Circa £22,000

Work Location: North East and West London

Benefits: 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and discretionary  1 day for international women’s day, workplace pension.

Contract: Permanent,  35 hours per week according to contract terms

 The Minerva WrapAround service provides enhanced support to women and girls who have committed crime and are at risk of re-offending, with complex multiple needs.  The service is designed to be a “whole system” response to women in the Criminal Justice System and these additional services are offered across 15 London boroughs in North, East and West.  Minerva WA offers an enhanced service to a total of 700 women across these boroughs, each of whom have been assessed as having complex needs and therefore require additional support in the form of additional key-work sessions, innovative interventions or diversionary and group-work sessions and access to a women-only Centre in their region. The Regional & Centre Co-ordinator will be based in the Women’s Regional Centre.

Women’s Centre Coordinator – WA service will:

  • Be the first point of contact for clients, coming to the Centre; to offer a warm welcome and trauma informed approach to the women attending the centre
  • Be responsible for answering the main Minerva telephone number, checking and responding to voicemails, and passing information to the relevant staff member;
  • Be responsible for checking the general Minerva email accounts and dealing with messages as appropriate;
  • Ensure the client waiting area is kept tidy with up to date information/leaflets and supplies of refreshments;
  • Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; Both within the Centre and across the West/NE region
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on local resources and agencies for staff;
  • Assist keyworkers with diversionary activities and groups as required
  • Assist the Regional Manager by entering referral information on the database and allocating new clients –escalating any high risk cases to the RM to review;
  • Assist the Regional Manager with the collation of data and information as required;
  • Assist the Regional Manager and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer in maintaining and collating information for weekly and monthly funder reports.
