 Job Title * Children and Young People Support Worker

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £26,000 – £29,000 per annum (full time equivalent)  incl. London Weighting, depending on experience*

(*£26,000 paid for those with less experience; £29,000 paid for those with considerable skills and experience in similar or transferrable roles).

Working Hours: 35 hours per week according to contract terms

Benefits:  Workplace Pension, 30 days annual leave plus public holidays & 1 day for International Women’s Day.

Work Location: Brent

The post holder will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence as its effects on women and children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and young peoples sectors. As an experienced advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis, and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic abuse and working with young people and children in face-to-face and group-work is essential for this post as is working within safeguarding principles and promoting a strong partnership approach to service provision.
